Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
    • Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
    • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and specials.
    • Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management if necessary.
  • Food Preparation and Service:
    • Prepare and assemble food and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
    • Ensure food presentation meets quality and hygiene standards.
    • Operate kitchen equipment, such as grills, fryers, and coffee machines, safely and according to instructions.
  • Cash Handling:
    • Process transactions accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
    • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions securely.
    • Provide accurate change and receipts to customers.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized food counter and dining area.
    • Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
    • Restock supplies as needed and notify management of any shortages or equipment issues.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
    • Communicate clearly with kitchen staff regarding orders and special requests.
    • Assist in training new employees as needed.

Tasks

  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
  • Package take-out food
  • Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Take customers’ orders
  • Handle and store cleaning products
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
  • Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

    • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
