Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and specials.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management if necessary.
- Food Preparation and Service:
- Prepare and assemble food and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food presentation meets quality and hygiene standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment, such as grills, fryers, and coffee machines, safely and according to instructions.
- Cash Handling:
- Process transactions accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions securely.
- Provide accurate change and receipts to customers.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized food counter and dining area.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Restock supplies as needed and notify management of any shortages or equipment issues.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff regarding orders and special requests.
- Assist in training new employees as needed.
Tasks
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
- Package take-out food
- Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars
- Take customers’ orders
- Handle and store cleaning products
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
