Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Plan and coordinate daily farming activities, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and livestock care.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise farm workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Crop and Livestock Production: Monitor and manage the health and productivity of crops and livestock, implementing best practices for growth and sustainability.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and analyze financial performance to maximize profitability.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, environmental policies, and safety standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of crop yields, livestock production, sales, and financial transactions for accurate reporting.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and agricultural innovations to make informed decisions regarding production and sales.

Qualifications:

  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; knowledge of agricultural practices and technologies; financial acumen.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
