Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Staff:
- Assign daily cleaning tasks to janitorial staff and monitor their performance.
- Train new employees on proper cleaning techniques, use of equipment, and safety protocols.
- Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing during all hours of operation.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards.
- Address complaints or issues regarding cleaning services and take corrective actions.
- Ensure all areas, including restrooms, offices, lobbies, and common spaces, are maintained to a high standard.
- Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Order necessary supplies and ensure proper storage and usage.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor polishers, and pressure washers.
- Ensure that all equipment is safe and operational.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain records of staff attendance, work schedules, and cleaning logs.
- Prepare and submit reports on cleaning operations and staff performance.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of chemicals.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for the janitorial team.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate with management and other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules for special events or projects.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a janitor with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, supplies, and maintenance techniques.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor and indoor spaces.
Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor work in facilities such as offices, schools, or hospitals.
