Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Treatment:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of adult illnesses, medical conditions, and diseases.
- Perform thorough physical examinations, review medical histories, and order appropriate diagnostic tests (e.g., blood work, imaging studies).
- Develop treatment plans based on accurate diagnoses and collaborate with specialists when needed for complex cases.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications as necessary.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.

Preventive Care:
- Conduct routine health screenings (e.g., blood pressure, cholesterol levels, diabetes screening) to detect early signs of disease.
- Provide preventive advice on diet, exercise, and healthy living to reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
- Administer immunizations and vaccinations as required for adults.
- Educate patients about risk factors and ways to prevent illness.

- Manage long-term care for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, or arthritis.
- Coordinate care for patients with multiple conditions, ensuring comprehensive treatment plans and medication management.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Training: Completion of a residency program in internal medicine (typically 3 years).
- Licensing: Board certification in internal medicine (optional but preferred) and valid state medical license.
- Skills:
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to evaluate complex cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
