Responsibilities:
- Child Care:
- Supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, crafts, and educational exercises.
- Providing attentive and nurturing care to meet the emotional and physical needs of children.
- Daily Routine:
- Establishing and maintaining daily routines for meals, nap times, and activities to ensure consistency and structure.
- Assisting with dressing, bathing, grooming, and other personal care tasks as needed.
- Safety and Security:
- Ensuring a safe environment by childproofing areas, monitoring children during play, and practicing emergency procedures.
- Administering basic first aid and medication under parental guidance and in accordance with health and safety protocols.
- Educational Support:
- Assisting with homework assignments and educational projects to support learning and academic development.
- Promoting language development, literacy skills, and age-appropriate educational activities.
- Meal Preparation:
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children, taking into account any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Encouraging healthy eating habits and proper table manners.
- Household Management:
- Performing light housekeeping tasks related to children’s areas, including tidying play areas, washing dishes used during childcare, and children’s laundry.
- Organizing and maintaining children’s belongings, toys, and educational materials.
- Communication:
- Maintaining open and effective communication with parents regarding daily activities, developmental milestones, and any concerns or issues.
- Providing regular updates on children’s progress, behaviors, and achievements.
- Transportation:
- Safely transporting children to and from school, activities, appointments, or outings as needed.
- Ensuring car seats and safety belts are properly secured during transportation.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Child Care Experience: Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or nanny roles, with a genuine love for working with children.
- Patience and Compassion: Ability to interact with children with patience, kindness, and empathy.
- Reliability: Consistency in attendance and punctuality to meet the needs of the family’s schedule.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and household responsibilities efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with children, parents, and other household members effectively.
- CPR and First Aid Certification: Preferred certification in CPR and first aid for infants and children, or willingness to obtain certification.
