Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evisceration of Poultry: The primary responsibility is to remove internal organs (such as the intestines, heart, liver, and lungs) from the poultry carcass after it has been slaughtered.
- Inspection for Quality Control: Inspecting the internal organs and body cavity for abnormalities or contamination, and discarding any unsanitary or diseased parts according to company protocols.
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Ensuring that the poultry is cleaned thoroughly during the evisceration process to prevent contamination and to meet food safety standards.
- Use of Tools and Equipment: Operating specialized machinery and tools (e.g., knives, scissors, hooks, and mechanical evisceration machines) to perform tasks quickly and effectively while maintaining hygiene standards.
- Organ Removal: Properly removing organs and disposing of them according to health and safety regulations.
- Handling Poultry Carcasses: After the organs are removed, the carcasses are often passed along the processing line for further processing, such as cutting or packaging.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensuring the work area and equipment are sanitized regularly to prevent contamination of the poultry and maintain food safety standards.
- Adhering to Safety Regulations: Following strict safety guidelines, including wearing protective gear (gloves, aprons, etc.), using proper techniques to avoid injury, and maintaining awareness of the work environment to prevent accidents.
- Handling Waste: Ensuring proper disposal of waste materials, including inedible parts and waste water, in compliance with environmental and health regulations.

- Remove feathers and singe and wash poultry to prepare for further processing or packaging
- Cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use
