Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch trucks according to customer requests and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
• Monitor truck locations and statuses using GPS and other tracking systems.
• Communicate with customers to provide shipment updates and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatching activities, including driver logs and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, operations) to optimize transportation efficiency.
• Handle driver inquiries and emergencies professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain communication with drivers throughout their routes to provide support and updates as needed.
• Evaluate and adjust routes and schedules based on changing priorities and logistics.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a truck dispatcher or in a similar role within the transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of trucking regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in logistics is a plus.
